Meet Anne
Anne Joynt has spent more than twenty years in courtrooms across Western New York, representing workers and some of the most vulnerable members of society while they were confronting some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Since 2005, Anne has concentrated her practice on asbestos and toxic-tort litigation, including cases brought on behalf of workers and survivors of childhood sexual abuse.
Experience and Vision
Born and raised in Medina, New York, Anne graduated magna cum laude from SUNY Geneseo, in 2002, and then attended SUNY Buffalo Law school. She was admitted to the New York State Bar in 2005 and has remained deeply connected to Western New York throughout her career.
Background and Approach
Anne’s dedication to the community extends beyond the courtroom, as she actively participates in local outreach programs aimed at providing legal education to underserved populations. She believes that justice is most effective when it is combined with a deep understanding of the local community's unique challenges and needs.

Focus Areas and Expertise
Fair Justice
Anne’s work as a trial lawyer taught her that a fair judicial system begins by giving every party a meaningful opportunity to be heard. Her experience in sensitive and emotionally difficult cases also taught her the importance of listening carefully and treating every person in the courtroom with dignity and respect.
Anne’s belief in accessible justice and the implementation of law as part of community were shaped by her childhood experiences and the values instilled by her parents.

Anne’s belief in fairness, access, and a judicial system that operates while considering the impact of each decision on both the case and the community where the law exists and lives comes from both her experience in court and her experiences as part of the community around her.
While Anne’s father helped foster her interest in joining the legal profession, it was her community outreach, and the lessons learned from those experiences, that inspired Anne to focus on service as part of a multitude of community groups. Together, her legal practice and community service have taught her that courts function best when the law is applied fairly, every party is heard, and every person is treated with dignity.
